News Citoyen Optimum recognized at the 2014 Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) Awards of Excellence
Citoyen Optimum was rewarded with the Bronze award in the category Best Special Event Projects for the inauguration of Rio Tinto Alcan’s (RTA) Arvida Aluminium Smelter, AP60 Technology Centre. Organized by the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS), this annual award, which recognizes outstanding public relations programs and projects across the country, was held yesterday in Banff.
The event concept for this project focused on multimedia use to emphasize the novelty of AP60 technology. In addition, the involvement of several employees and partners around the world demonstrated the great scope of the AP60 technology project, which was spread out in the RTA over several decades. In a tough economy setting, this inauguration has been synonymous with hope for the RTA future and for the global aluminum industry.
In total, more than 300 guests including business leaders, the Premier of Quebec and several ministers from the provincial and federal levels participated in the event, which took place in January inside the new aluminium smelter.
