“As individuals, we learn more by sharing and communicating. A human connection is a powerful thing that should never be underestimated.”
Yasmine has been working in communications, event management, branding, and media relations for over eight years.
During her college studies, she took a deep dive into Montreal’s entertainment scene through her work with Bell Media and CanadaNightlife.ca. While completing her undergraduate degree, she freelanced in public relations and brand coordination for the fashion, nightlife, culture, and food industries, to name just a few. This enabled her to work on a wide range of projects and continue to broaden both her network and her knowledge of the field.
Yasmine then landed a job in press and media relations at Evenko, the biggest event promoter in Canada. There she developed an even keener interest in the entertainment, music, and cultural industries. She helped organize numerous events, including the Osehaga, îLESONIQ, Heavy Montréal, and YUL EAT festivals, as well as concerts and special projects of all sizes that made good use of her versatility, diplomacy, creativity, and flexibility on a daily basis.
In a quest to gain corporate experience, Yasmine accepted a job in Deloitte Canada’s Public Relations Department, where she supported national campaigns and assisted partners across the country with their media projects. After experiencing both ends of the spectrum, she opted to continue building her skills in communications by joining the Citoyen team as an Account Manager.
Yasmine sees the culinary arts, travelling, and languages as some of the best ways of connecting with other people, which explains why these are among her major interests. She greatly values empathy and understanding others, both in her professional and private life.
Yasmine has a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications and a certificate in business administration from Université du Québec à Montréal.
